To All Anti-Gay Boycotting-Obsessed Homophobes:

"Yes, please boycott Oreo for their support of Gay Rights. We’ll all appreciate you going on a diet. While you’re at it, please also throw away your iPod, iPhone, and iPad since Apple supports as well. Hopefully you have lots of clothes, because you’ll need to ditch your Levi’s and Nike’s too. Perhaps you bought them at JC Penney’s or Sears? Sucks you’ll have to take them back or actually, anything you wear from anywhere probably had a gay involved.

Flying somewhere soon? Better not be on American, Delta, Southwest, or United - you’ll need a new ticket. Airline wasn’t mentioned? Just be sure your jet isn’t Boeing made. Don’t sleep at Marriott or Hilton (or any of their family brands) because you might catch the gays they support.

That morning coffee from Starbucks will have to go as well, go ahead and replace it with a McCafe. Oh wait, McDonald’s supports gay rights too. Hmm, do you clean with Tide, Gain, or Bounty? Use Duracell batteries, shave with Gillette, or use Fixodent? Brush with Crest, use Pantene, Scope, Tampax, Venus, or Old Spice products? Those are all gone too, stupid Proctor &; Gamble supporting the gays.

Damn, you’re using Internet Explorer or Chrome to see Facebook and read this status? Download something else, Microsoft and Google show their Pride as well. Ah, but your drinks are safe. Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Budweiser are on your side - if your side is on the right side of history since all three also support Gay Rights. Hopefully, you or your lawyer will never need in-depth research.

Both LexisNexis and Westlaw, who together control the market, support Gay Rights. Drive that big, manly, Ford F350? It’s a "Friend of Dorothy" too, as its company Ford and General Motors also support the rights of all. So, do us all a favor, don’t take it all out on a festive cookie - just stay home and boycott everything." (Unknown)

Koda with deer family... well, a single mom deer family. Why do you never see dad deer ? NOT that there is anything wrong with single mother families....

dinner with radishes

We were out and about and just had dinner at Wegmans.
This was THE BEST salad ever, I can't remember what it was called ... Summer garden vegan salad.. or something like that. It has like super garlicy basily dressing. You got your chi chi's and edamame, nuts, seeds, some tofu stuff.. brown rice .This is what I will be eating all season!

and there were big piles of different locally grown radishes.

I went to a garden party.....

and I was the only one wearing a hat.

but there were some pretty flowers.

:)

I'll be getting back to this soon....

Real Hamburgers!

Very rare for me to make these, at least in the past, I tend to buy the patties. But this was just so much better, and really only cost a tiny bit more - I think we have become making your own burgers people.

Prince douche bag Rand Paul is holding up the US Senate passing a FLOOD INSURANCE bill insisting that a *#!!@#!! Fetal Personhood amendment is added to it. You know the bill that DID NOT EVEN PASS IN BRIGHT RED MISSISSIPPI:

From Huffpo : WASHINGTON -- Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) moved this week to hold a noncontroversial flood insurance bill hostage until the Senate agrees that life begins at fertilization.
The bill, which would financially boost the National Flood Insurance Program on the cusp of hurricane season, had been expected to pass easily in the Senate. But since Paul on Monday offered an unrelated "fetal personhood" amendment, which would give legal protections to fetuses from the moment of fertilization, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is threatening to halt progress on the legislation.
"I'm told last night that one of our Republican senators wants to offer an amendment -- listen to this one -- wants to offer an amendment on when life begins," Reid said on the Senate floor Tuesday. "I am not going to put up with that on flood insurance. I can be condemned by outside sources; my friends can say, 'Let them have a vote on it.' There will not be a vote on that on flood insurance. We'll either do flood insurance with the amendments that deal with flood insurance, or we won't do it. We'll have an extension."
Reid has allowed Republicans to attach unrelated amendments to other important bills in the past few months. Most notably, he let the Senate vote on a contraception-related amendment, proposed by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), to a transportation bill. But Reid called Paul's measure "ridiculous" and "outlandish," and asked Republicans to deal with him on "their side of the aisle."
Paul told reporters on Tuesday afternoon that he is "just trying to get a vote for people who elected me." "Can you believe that they're exasperated with me?" he said, responding to criticism of his attempt to attach the unrelated amendment. "If [Reid will] give me a freestanding vote, I'll take a freestanding vote any time." The highly controversial concept of fetal personhood raised by Paul's amendment could affect the legality of abortion, some forms of birth control, stem cell research and in vitro fertilization.

but she had sold her hair to buy him a new chain for his gold watch:

Tampa, where the GOP will hold their Klan Meeting Convention this summer is having a little early season record flooding.

Fun with Re-districting!

The NEW New York 27th

Today was the New York Primary!
But alas, we had no one to vote for.

This is much MUCH better than the old totally gerrymandered  version we had last, but I think I have had three different Congress members since I move up here. I am Tom Reed now, a little feckless GOP doughboy, who is now in a totally safe district, the big one across the bottom of the state. It is our old district - it has Ithaca and Geneva plus other college towns - so maybe ....

We are now Kathy Hochul, who was elected in a special election to replace this guy:
Rep. Chris Lee.... cruising for chicks on craigslist.

My old Congressman was this guy:
Rep. Eric Massa, of all intern tickle fights and " snorkling " fame.

The only races on the ballot are Republicans to run against Hochul and Senator Kristen Gillibrand.

We are very sorry for Jodi's loss

She knew the turtle

From AP :
The giant tortoise known as Lonesome George died Sunday, according to officials at the Galapagos National Park in Ecuador.
He was found Sunday morning in his pen by his longtime keeper, Fausto Llerena, the park said in a statement. Lonesome George was the last remaining tortoise of its kind and was estimated to be about 100 years old. Despite what seems like old age for humans, scientists had expected him to live a few more decades. Lonesome George was found on Pinta Island in 1972, although Pinta tortoises were believed to be extinct. In an attempt to keep the species alive, mates had been provided for Lonesome George. All mating attempts failed, and the tortoise continued to live at a breeding center on the island of Santa Cruz in Ecuador. Lonesome George became a symbol of Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands.
“The plight of Lonesome George provided a catalyst for an extraordinary effort by the government of Ecuador to restore not only tortoise populations throughout the archipelago but also improve the status of other endangered and threatened species,” according to the statement posted on the park’s website. The park said the cause of death will be investigated.
