Sweet Briar College announced today that it is shutting down at the end of this academic year.

There are a surprisingly large number of women only colleges left in the US.

and only three all male four year schools left

• Hampden–Sydney College, Hampden–Sydney, Virginia
• Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia
• Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana
