Saying good-bye to Neil's prostate !
He was assigned a number so that we could monitor his progress during the day, these are all the people having operations at this time at U of R - its a surgery factory.
BUT - they could not have been more attentive to my needs during the operation - a very nice family waiting room / library where there is free coffee / tea and sort of hosts/ hostess to make sure any questions you have are answered. A nurse with the doctor called me THREE TIMES during the operation and the doctor called me right afterwards, and then came to see me in person . As well as a Chaplin visiting and the people that work there in the waiting area, you are well taken care of.
Our good pal Don braved the early hours and waited with me all morning long, which was very nice of him.
There is also an outside garden attached to the waiting area
The lobby and one of the many coffee bar areas...
SKIP AHEAD ABOUT FIVE HOURS
The area he is in kicks visitors out at 8:00pm but he was up and walking before I took off .. lots of tubes etc, but up and down the hall. Again the people working in this area just could NOT have been nicer to us both.
So, Ill head back in early am, and we should be home by the afternoon . I will keep you all posted here and mostly on the Facebook.
