 I did not know the back story on the hair - shaved for a cancer thing, so I was just shocked when I saw her - like seeing a new color for the first time or something. White or at least pale pale color was what the runway was all about last night, but this was just barely human.

 

Sure you can say she would have looked good in a potato sack, but this was just one of the most amazing Oscar red carpet looks ever.

The Runners Up

Halle Berry in Versace.

Our Miss Halle had made a few less than inspired rc choices this season, long long season. Tonight she was back to her ruling roots and looks AMAZING! Very on trend with the broad 80's shoulder, everything about this just works!

 Stacey Keilber in Naeem Khan

Mrs. George Cloony looks amazing in this art decoy beaded wonder - a few points off for the non hair style - but a drop dead beautiful dress.

Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton

 This is sort of for whole package more than just the dress. A great color.

Most folks fav of the night - a color I would not usually go for, but she totally pulls it off. Movie Star!

The not so much

Oscar Winner Anne Hathaway in

Prada gown and Tiffany jewelry.

No, just no. She so knew she was going to win - has won everything else, and chose this one ?? I don't hate the dress, it just was the opposite of Charlize, where everything was right for the night and event, this was everything wrong. Headlights and Gwyneth in '99. Major fail. NOT that it is horrible really - and maybe in black ?

Just too much dress for a small person. 

I just did not care for it.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta

fit, color, hair.... 

too much pale and American Gothic hair....

In what may be the worst, by far worst - at least top five of all time on any red carpet ever :

Melissa McCarthy in David Meister

NO! and she does not get any slack for being the fat girl. She is in the #1 comedy in the country, a real movie star and wore this freaking schmata. And to combine it with fat Susan Sugarbaker hair.... HORRIBLE.
