In the newest artist renderings of SunTrust Park, the new home of the Atlanta Braves, the Braves are actually shown as losing.
The image is spectacular. The ballpark is full, traffic whizzes by on the Perimeter. The sun sinks slowly over the western reaches of Cobb County, but your Atlanta Braves are being shown as losing to the dreaded Washington Nationals, 6-3 in the 7th inning. And to add insult to injury, the same scoreboard at SunTrust Park shows that the Braves have committed two errors.
On the plus side, the Braves are up to bat in the bottom of the 7th, so they've still got a shot at winning the game, at least.
Construction continues in Cobb County, and the Braves are expected to move into SunTrust Park in time for the 2017 season.
