Let's start off with I am glad I went - but this was a task.
It is an atonal 12 tone opera written between 1929 and 1935 by Alban Burg, all that means you did not walk out humming any of the tunes. But the music was FAR from the strangest part of the show. The was just as much performance art as it was opera . No real set to speak of, only massive projections that sometimes followed the story, sometimes did not - I am glad I read a little bit about the show before I went or I would have been totally lost.
I am more than sure that his opera has been the basis of countless Woman's Studies theses
