Let's [gladly] look at Michelle

First Lady Michelle Obama enters the 2012 Democratic Convention in a Bright Pink and Grey/ Lavender / Cadet Blue ( the internet can not decide on a color, cadet blue is my choice )  sort of brocade print, just below the knee, sleeveless, almost racer neck , A-line with a flounce custom made Tracy Reese dress and  Pink J.Crew " Everly " Suede Pumps. No jewelry other than her wedding ring. Perfect hair.....And some grey /lavender nail polish that is close to breaking the web....
This should be the photo beside healthy in the dictionary

Ms. Reese, 48,  is an American designer from Detroit and a 1984 graduate of Parsons School of Design, after a stint as head of women's portfolio for Perry Ellis she launched her own line in 1998.
" Tracy Reese designs are noted for their femininity and retro-influenced style; the textiles themselves make use of bright colors, elaborate graphic patterns, and a playful use of bohemian  touches.Clothing and home fashions by Tracy Reese's design lines are carried by retailers such as Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Anthropologie, Modcloth, and Nordstrom. The Tracy Reese flagship store in New York City opened in 2006.  " The price point of a Reese dress is 150$ - 350$+... under 400.

A favorite designer of Mrs. Obama, who leans toward American designers ,chose a Reese dress for an over seas trip and a 2009 People magazine cover, among others times

Speech aside - What is not to love about this.
Yeah, I am in FULL ROSY hang over after last night, but this is just a lovely, MODERN, feminine - powerful ( those arms and shoulders at 50 ) dress. I love the top color on her, love the length , love the fact that she did not do her trade mark large belt. It is fresh, clean, fashion forward - ALL while being perfectly appropriate for a First Lady, and keeping true to her own fashion sense. You try juggling all those balls at once.
A home run, 10+ , designer making dress - pretty sure that TRACY REESE.COM is trending huge today.

What comes next has to be done, and it is all but comical, really.
2012  v  1952
One is nothing but FORWARD - the other is so retro, so backward looking that it is close to being a joke. A LOVELY RED DRESS, sure..... but night and day.

When I saw her walk out in that dress last night, I knew you would flip, Kyle. You're right - it was fabulous.

As for Mrs. Romney, all I can say is: add a string of pearls, and she could be calling Wally and the Beav in for dinner.
