As I have said before, four years ago, as the rest of Democratic/Progressive America was dancing in the streets, LGBT America was torn. We had helped elect Barack Obama, but we suffered the huge set back of Prop 8. We were invited to the party but we did not get cake and ice cream. Fast forward.

Last night was Mardis Gras falling on Christmas day, with

the Easter Bunny on the side.

It's now Thursday afternoon - I was just a little bit overwhelmed yesterday. 

ALL FOUR STATES VOTED FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY!

MAINE

MARYLAND

MINNESOTA

WASHINGTON 

The streak of 32 states voting against same sex marriage broken.

Maine, Maryland and Washington get marriage, the vote in Minnesota was to NOT make their law banning equality a state Constitutional Amendment, they will have to overturn the law - but that should be coming down the pike.

Wisconsin elected Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin to the Senate. 

Once again - WISCONSIN HAS A LESBIAN SENATOR!!!

And as a little bit of a happy, Senator-elect Baldwin congressional seat went to a GAY MAN, Mark Pocan, first time a seat in Congress has gone from on out LGBT person to another.
