This is just my go to flavor palette right now, moved west from India, right to Northern Africa. Sort of the same - but much much less complex. Still with the onions,garlic and ginger - but no curry or chilies. Cinnamon and Turmeric are the stars here, a deep rich brown heat, not the fiery punch of Thai or Indian...If I had some dates or olives they would be in the stew, but this was sort of a pantry dinner.
Again with the giant flowers, they are still coming in every day, If they stick around for Homecoming, I'll have to break out the pipe cleaners!
