 The internet exploded during the Olympics tonight - as news that Michael Sam, AP's SEC's defensive player of the year , star defensive lineman for the 12-2 Cotton Bowl Champions Missouri Tigers was gay. Seriously, my Facebook page was a blur....This is just massive news. Please read and watch this NYT above the fold story:

He is expected to be a high draft for a team this May. The NFL released this statement tonight:
"We admire Michael Sam’s honesty and courage. Michael is a football player. Any player with ability and determination can succeed in the NFL. We look forward to welcoming and supporting Michael Sam in 2014."
