So apparently this is what it looks like when two baby copperheads bite you in the yard but only manage a little bit of venom. Tom seems fine, and all the doctors and nurses are very impressed.

Better get that extra bedroom ready for Dan and MW, because they are freaked. They want to call an exterminator. It would cost $40,000 and we'd have to pave this yard for it NOT to be one big copperhead habitat.
He was wearing flipflops, and he is really good at spotting snakes and knowing what they are (because he has spent a lot of his life playing in the woods). This was a bad combination of birthing season, that time of day when you can't see anything, and, yes, where we live.
He's better each day. He was very lucky.
