Oh, yeah... there is that.....

“we’re inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. And I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude that thinks we have the audacity to redefine what marriage is all about.” - Chic-fil-a President , son of the founder, Dan Cathy.

See, here is the problem - you were thinking it was about a chicken sandwich.

Yesterday  was the Mike " I REALLY   Chic-fil-a " Huckabee/ Fox News generated Chic-fil-a Appreciation Day. I'm not exactly sure who was supposed to go eat there - but A LOT of folks did.The crowds and the traffic they caused were the front page " headline " in the Atlanta Paper, the Jacksonville, Fl paper, Greenville, Sc and Athens, Ga - I stopped looking after that. It was a big deal..... at least for the two sides of the red rover game, who knows about genpop .

Since Mr. Cathy's statements, with an s , there were others, calls for boycotting the Atlanta based fast food restaurant went out pretty quickly, with a few northern big city mayors - Chicago, Boston.. others chiming in with city wide bans, all made in the heat of the moment, all retracted - this caused Huckabee to call for todays eat in.
Greenville , South Carolina:
doing the Lord's work
This is just an example _ I could have pulled pictures from any Southern city at all....

ALL TOGETHER NOW : " We don't hate anybody - we are just here to support that dear Mr. Cathy's FREEDOM OF SPEECH. ", even the whack job right wing pulls a little pc ever now and again. Let's check in on the twitter , what would have been live, with a few of these lovers of freedom from yesterday:

There are tons more of some pretty horrible stuff - and yes, I bet if you search long enough or just go over to Glenbeckistan you can find lots and lots of stupid tweets from the other side, my only point of this is the whole freedom of speech canard is a little week unless you also bought a few things from Amazon yesterday because after Amazon President  Jeff Bezos gave 2.5 million dollars to support marriage equality in Washington groups like  the Family Research Council and Million Moms called for a boycott of his company - sort of punishing him and taking away his free speech. I hope you looked it up on Google first too, because they are on that list for the same reason.
After eating that chicken sandwich you had for dessert, just in the name of freedom ,  some Girl Scout Cookies and Oreos - because those same groups have called for boycotts of them - again for support the rights of every American to be equal.
I'm sure you went to Starbucks for an afternoon pick me up because they are high on the list of companies to boycott, after they too came out in favor of marriage equality.
And finally, I just know you got lot of back to school things from JC Penny yesterday because they have been under tremendous pressure and boycotts ever since - gosh! simply hiring an out and proud lesbian Ellen DeGeneres to be their spokes person.
Just for the sake of freedom of speech and all.

I hope this thing blows over very soon, and I think it will - I was pretty much gobsmacked on JMG yesterday - called ALL sorts of names and was responsible for " another LBGT person gets beaten up or murdered...or another LGBT teenager hangs himself because of the hatred he had to endure every day of his young life".
Yeah, me saying that this was a fight that we just did not need to pick, was killing gay youths... the horrible anti gay person that I am....

The point of all this ALL THIS is that Dan Cathy can believe what ever he wants, he is a very rich, somewhat powerful man. But, you , as a consumer need to know that Chic-Fil-A through its charitable arm gives money to groups that want Neil and I dead or in jail.
" Don't be stupid, Kyle - no one believes that "

dig around a little bit, see where these groups are on
the rights of women in the U.S .

Our side is winning, and in the VERY near future, Mr. Dan Cathy is going to be hit with a BIG ASS law suit when he denies benefits to a fully married gay or lesbian American - his views are nothing more than this:
