HILLARY ! HILLARY ! HILLARY !

HILLARY CLINTON at ROCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE!
I think that this was sort of a last minute addition for the Hillary for President campaign. Some long convoluted story on the news about the student government was doing some sort of project that went nation wide and came to the attention of all the candidates - or they invited all the candidates to speak ... I could find out, but the bottom line is SHE WAS NEAR OUR HOUSE! Sure the big annual AFT ( teachers union ) meeting that we used to always get to go to in NYC was in ROCHESTER tonight ... but still.
VERY COLD day - and I did not wear a coat because I did want to hold it the whole time I was at the speech. Did not realize we would be in line for like an hour and a half. Thousands showed up. It was sort of played as a school function, but it was open to the public
The line started out at the road and sort of wrapped all over campus before depositing us
at the metal detectors. I am sure that there were still people in line as the event started.( which was at 6.pm )

 THE SETTING

It is the double basketball court of the school,
and could have held a lot more people, but for the massive press platform right in front of the stage that must have had 50 or 60 cameras and reporters

some introductions and then the lovely mayor of Rochester
( even though the school is in Brighton )
LOVELY WARREN
gave a really fired up talk - and she is a great vote geter outer!
A few more locals then our ICONIC local Representative LOUISE SLAUGHTER . Really, close to the oldest person in the house and still a major ass kicker. Never in a million years would you think she was from upstate NY , with her deep Kentucky accent that she never lost from her childhood. She is LOVED here.

 THEN THE BIG GUNS.

Well first the student body president who sort of got this whole ball rolling, and he went on and an about the process while Sec. Clinton just sort of stood there. Then at last...

Just an amazing speaker, really, and that is not just my all out fan boy showing. About an hour, no teleprompter, not at the podium all that much so not that many notes. Got very local , most from when she was our Senator. Really focused her tone on collage age kids, getting into great detail on the hows and whats she could do for them ( since her rival is the darling of the kiddies )

And the place was packed, almost half with college looking kids, I was really afraid that many of them would be Bernie protesters - but not a one inside ( maybe a dozen silly ass fools outside ) Very well behaved, enthusiastic - and she very much brought it home to them.

It was a long time to be outside to start with and then a long time on our feet in a thick crowd, but very happy that we got the chance to go!
