Sunday Night Roast Chicken
Red Cabbage
Rice and Gravy*
Butter Beans

* I put my usual onion/ garlic/ lemon/ saltnpepper inside the cavity of the bird tonight, BUT - just feeling wild and crazy I put a small amount of the bulk garam masala that Roja gave me. Maybe a scant tablespoon . I did pick out some of the cloves, so it was just seeds and such. I made the gravy with the juices that were in the pan when I took the chicken out, as well as what collected on the plate where the bird was resting pre carving, a little butter as well. Really, there was just a depth of flavor, just a hint , a bare whisper of spice to the gravy. Yummy, close to the best I have ever made!  
I love it when these happy accidents happen!
