SPICE WORLD

The march of the pumpkin spice has begun in earnest up here - the airwaves are full of it, and this was a wall at Wegmans tonight. The Pepperidge Farm lady was putting it all out, and talked me into some of the Milanos - pretty good.
You would think Fall would be in the air, but today was the hottest day of the year up here - 93ยบ here in Mendon. After the cool rain soaked Summer that we had it came as sort of a shock. I mowed the entire lawn then just came in and crashed ( why I was at the store so late ) . It did not last long and the cooling rain of a cold front is already here.... in the 40's by Sunday night.

Walking out of the store tonight I hit that wall of heat and humidity that is pure Georgia and so very rare for up here - just to have the air wrap itself around you - we ( luckily? ) missed most of that this season. So this was the one and only  - the crazy up and down temps are a sign that change is coming....
