The Pink Dollar and Strange Bedfellows

My Albany pal and state senator JIM ALESI was one of the GOP votes that crossed over and gave New York the Marriage Equality, much to the horror and dismay to the water boys for the Vatican, NOM, who came down all fire and brimstony on him.. blah, blah, we will crush you, blah.A funny thing happened on the way to re-election. From this mornings Rochester Democratandchronicle :
"State Sen. James Alesi, the first Republican in his chamber to voice his support for gay marriage, raised more than four times as much money in the last six months as he did during a comparable period two years ago, boosted by gay marriage supporters from around the country." ( THE REST )

BUT, there was this sort of lost there in the middle of the article: "Among the 11 donors to contribute the maximum of $16,800 were well-known gay marriage supporters, including billionaire Paul Singer and several of his family members, including one in London, England; billionaire conservative and businessman David Koch and his wife; and New York City hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb. WHAAAA  ??, one of the two guys FUNDING the whole teaparty/wehateobama meme is maxed out on a man that gave NY gay marriage??

Now, I do not know yet if I will vote for Jim Alesi in the fall, all the gays are supposed to fall lock step into line and vote for him, thanks for the vote and all, but Yellow Dog Kyle may have an issue with that.... but New York is going through a re-districting , so don't even know if I will get the chance, if it is close I will vote for him, but if not... If he is running away with it, LIKE HE ALWAYS DOES, I will vote my straight [pun intended] ticket.
