Children turn to page fifty-two .....

For those that have been following here or on the facebook, you know that it has been , or at least it has seemed like, it has been raining the entire month of June. Then this morning - a little storm comes through Rochester / The Finger Lakes and area wide the rainfall amount was about an inch or so, if that. But, for what ever reason there was this one little pocket, about 7-8 miles across that got twice that or more - and we here in happy little Mendon were right in the epicenter of that -

When Koda and I first went out this morning, there was no flooding, then about 1:00 we were here, still raining hard off and on

Then just boom, you could almost see it rising

This is the only other time this has happened since we have lived here - 7 or 8 ( or more ?? ) years ago... pre Iris!

When it was DICKIE playing in the flooded fields, not Koda

The fire alarm for Mendon went off all morning long, and this afternoon
they brave boys in reflective yellow were pumping out all most every basement IN the little Hamlet of Mendon! We are up on a little hill and ours is bone dry.
Koda and I took a walk around the neighborhood , and then a little while later Neil went with us - here you see Koda and the Tardis... or a floating porta potty...

Will report on the after math first thing in the morning....
