You know it , you love it, you wait for it all year long!
We were working in the yard, getting some things done before some storms set in over night - and missed the start of it, even though we heard it. Finished up and went down to see the social event of the year in Mendon! Did I post the yearly fireworks extravaganza from our back yard this year ? I think I missed it - but that kicks off Fireman's week... Koda stopped to sniff our neighbors peonies on the way down.
They are coming into full bloom!
I was dealing with him and crowds for the parade, so didn't get any good pics. Firetrucks and bands...We walked back down here as it was ending
The Cottage Hotel has been packed all day long and was going strong after 11 pm as we took our last walk of the day.
Went out afterwards and a passed families having picnics all up and down the parade route. It really is just a lovely event.
