Neil picked all the blooms the night before, with threats of storms late night / early morning. Put them in individual bottles with padding between the flowers and stems. These are BIG flowers with multiple blooms per stem - so it is not an easy job to get them to the show. But arrive we did ....Hours before the mall opens.
Sadly we were not so successful - Neil did get several blue ribbons for best in group, but best in show and all the KING OF awards were not to be his this year. One that the judges said would have been very much a contender for best in show was damaged in transit... which was sad.
There is always next year!
