Take a deep breath.. now, let it out. Repeat.
It was just a TV show people, NOT a referendum on President Obama or the state of GLBT life in 2009 America.
The Kris kid is all the cute, perfect little middle of the road , state fair singer, and from the looks of it , just an all around very nice young man. Adam is more of an acquired taste. BUT - having the both of them sing WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS was a little unfair. That arena rock, over the top stuff is right up Adams alley where as Kris is more of the " House at Pooh Corner" sort of guy, AND Mr. Lambert blew the place away with the KISS stuff.. that was outrageous and just plain fun.
SO! No great conspiracy, no culture war battle, none of that stuff. Just TV, and this picture of the winning moment is priceless.
That said, the produces were taking NO CHANCES and had Kris and Mr. Kidman singing some song about kissing girls....
