dinner


Ok, so tomorrow is that day..... We have to look at it as being better than the alternative. If one must do these things , then it is very nice to have special dear friends  to spend the night before with..

DINNER AT THE NEXT DOOR

Next Door is the restaurant that the Wegman's opened post closing our old favorite Tastings. It is just right across the street from the big Pittsford Wegmans. My first trip here, and it was MOST lovely!

THE SALAD 

KICK ASS!
Bibb Lettuce Salad
Pickled Butternut Squash, Sweet and Spicy Walnuts, 
Smoked Balsamic Vinaigrette and Asiago Cheese
I am really really good at tasting something and figuring out what exactly I am eating.. this stumped me, in a wonderful way... smoked balsamic, WHO KNEW!!

Again, this totally kicked my Chef-wanna-be palette. This sweet and sour vanilla sauce was OFF the charts...
