I think a few of the facts were wrong here... in what , in a couple of years became " New Wave ". BUT, this does .. if you are going to go with good old Hugh Downs as a Rock and Roll authority, give weight to the claims of many folks , that the NY DOLLS and the Ramones were first, that the SEX PISTOLS got it from the US.
I have always gone the other way...

Either way.. The Clash was not " new wave "... Blondie, yes, and there is a little peek at the B-52's if you keep your eye on the montage, but no mention of them.
