and now for something completely different...

Lots.... almost overload.
For someone like me, who LOVES to sit and look at who voted for whom and why, this is Christmas, New Years and 4th of July rolled into one. Numbers, numbers and more numbers.
  1. 338 - 161 : Electoral college goes big for President Elect Obama. Big states, surprises, Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, Nevada. This is  not your fathers Democratic Party.
  2. 131,646 - 127,232 - Eric Massa beat John Kuhl getting rid of one of the very last GOP house members here in the North East. So, my house member is now a Democrat. Seriously, from all of New York and North, New York and all of New England, there are two GOP House Members. There was in the middle of the century the solid south, that IKE and LBJ could either go to or work against to get things done. There is strength in numbers, and the North East is the new Solid South.
  3. 2,101,986 - 2,089,826 - North Carolina, the almost Deep South goes for Barack Obama, AND 52.6% - 44.2% , the amount that Senator Kay Hagan beat sitting Senator Eliz. Dole. This one got nasty, this one got Alexis and Crystal down in the mud dirty. Senator Dole went places that NO candidate should ever go, and the good people of North Carolina said enough was enough. This was a win for the good guys.
And this is just the start.

Just had to leave this here, too:

Remember, remember, the 5th of November,
The rout of the wingnut lot.
I can see no reason
Why a rout so pleasing
Should ever be forgot.
