Take Me Out...

The Stephen Strasburg show rolled into Western New York today, and we, along with our pal Don, made a beeline for Coca-Cola (as it is called this week ) Field. Ya'll know how I do love a 1:05 kick off! Huge crowd, really close to sell out, which for a non camp/school day business persons special , is rare.

Buffalo Bisons v Syracuse Chiefs ( nee Sky Chiefs! )

This is not really an old ball park, at all, built in 1988, but it was built by the same company that would go on four years later to build Camden Yards, so it has a very retro feel to it. I really enjoy games here.
Look! It's our old pal Cone Head, who really lives in Buffalo, just moonlights at Redwings games...
Beef on Wick... and fried Bologna... it is an interesting park!
VERY good hotdogs... 1/2 of the combo that makes up a true breakfast of champions
This was supposedly Mr. Millionaire Strasburg's last AAA start. Off to the show!
It really was a nice day, just cloudy enough to keep the sun at bay, BUT, as soon as the p.a. guy said that Strasburg was finished for the day, A LOT of folks hit the road.. and the Seagulls moved in for the peanuts and cracker jack! Syracuse won 7-1.

Great pictures....looks like a lot of fun (I like the beef & beer combos on the menu). I was supposed to have gone to a game last night but my friend had to cancel the night before, so I stayed home and watched the womyn's college world series games last night.
