Spring is in the air

We don't need no stinking robins to know that for us here in the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes area sweet Spring and Lovely Summer are just around the corner.

RED WINGS BASEBALL
83erd annual
WELCOME HOME DINNER

Had been a stormy morning, but we were right
on the edge of that front...
For 83 years the local American Legion has sponsored
this event, they tell us ( every year  ) that it is unique
in the country...
It is a little bit like the first round of girls rush at
any large Southern state college.
" Let's look at the pretty, boys, in this case"
They are all very kind, and sit for hours signing what ever
you give them to sign. Some men take this VERY seriously...
but, if any of these guys do become all famous, then
$$$
The omnipresent and fan favorite Parker,
keeping the players glasses full, and the folks
moving along.
The view out the window behind the players,
the ballpark is at the base of the building in the center of the picture.
It is very kind of Bishop and Mrs. McKelvey to include us every year , Jack is on the board of the Redwings, and knows everyone. This year we got a cute player, not always the case. Very nice guy, been around for a while JEFF BAILEY. Been playing since '97, played in THE SHOW a couple of times for Boston. Seen here with Jack and Will Rumbold.
