Annual Fancy Christmas Party

The Swankiest Joint in Town.
Every year for I have no idea how long, this group of doctors throw this massive Christmas party, that costs as much as a small house. Really, it would be like having a major wedding every year. We are sort of friends of friends - and Neil sings, literally for our supper. The food at this place is just amazing. Every time I have been there it has been outstanding.

And there is a lot of it, I was starving tonight so there are lots of photos of food.
Started out with a couple of salads, I do not know what this first one was, but is was outstanding, had sort of an Asian / Miso taste to it. Regular Ceasar.
The kiddie section, which used to be another line, but I bet the parents did not like waiting twice. Chicken fingers, fries and really good mac-n-cheese.
Tiny burgers and a the best darn pigs in a blanket ever. There are 5 or 6 big past dishes after that , which I did not photograph, thinking I would come back through.
Then some veggies, ending with these off the charts scalloped potatoes, salmon, roast turkey with cranberries and whole beef tenderloins - endless whole beef tenderloins, with really cute nice guys carving them.

and all this is repeated upstairs in a second buffet line!

The 2015 Genesee Valley Club Singers!
the non singers
I dont know what it is about these pigs in a blanket, they are done , I think in puff pastry, that is baked and then like flash fried or something - for all I know they could be straight out of some freezer, but really they are fantastic. The little sausages are really good, then the crusty super crisp blanket... I need to find out this secret.
My round one.
There are lots of bars in this place, top top shelf bottles, but I am always the driver... ONE of these days.

It is a BIG building , full of lots of smaller rooms, this is the main dining hall that y'all have seen before in other posts. The place is packed, 100's and 100's of people. Families, couples, black tie and long beaded dresses to jeans and sweaters - everything in between.

The main bar, the dessert station is right across from this
Neil and our ex state Senator who before marriage passed we all but kidnapped one time at his office in Albany. He had a broken leg and could not reach his walker thing - we were with him for like half an hour before someone came to rescue him. In the end he did vote for us.. so maybe it worked .
Desserts everywhere - and anything you can think of, the buche de noel was outstanding !Again with the ice mold for ice creams

Sunday toppings  - the service at this club is very old school, you ask for something and you get it, you finish something and the glass or plate is gone...

Neil and David.

A really nice way to usher in Christmas Week!
