WEEK 15

I forgot to do the polls last week - realized it about Thursday and then just decided why bother... because this was the only one that mattered.

AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR

What a great weekend of watching college football - but who in the towers of power thought it would be a good idea ( fox and disney ) to have three of the championships at the same time?

Starting off with the battle for the SEC
Alabama v Florida in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

A quick side story, 16 years ago Alabama also faced Florida in the SEC championship in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. I was at that game with a guy that I just thought the world of - he was not from Atlanta and this is pre inter webs and we lost contact over the years - but that game brings such a smile to my face. If he is still out there is did his as well - his Crimson Tide rolled all over the hatedgators to take their 872 consecutive SEC Championship and locked their place into the top four.

That was 3:30 - every other game, PAC 12, - Stanford / USC, BIG 10 Iowa / Michigan State and ACC Clemson / North Carolina  all came on around 8:00. LOTS of channel flipping to get it all in, but we settled on the Iowa / Michigan State game and happy that we did it turned out to be one hell of a game with an ending that only Hollywood could dream up - but it was real.

So here they are after this roller coaster of a season - not what people were thinking 15 weeks ago, but I think one of the best final fours in a  long time.

  1. CLEMSON
  2. ALABAMA
  3. MICHIGAN STATE
  4. OKLAHOMA
  5. Iowa
  6. Stanford
  7. Ohio State
  8. Noter Dame
  9. Florida State
  10. North Carolina
  11. TCU
  12. OLE MISS
  13. Northwestern
  14. Michigan
  15. Oregon
  16. Oklahoma State
  17. Baylor
  18. Houston
  19. FLORIDA
  20. LSU
  21. Navy
  22. Utah
  23. TENNESSEE
  24. Temple
  25. USC
Clemson plays Oklahoma and Alabama will face Michigan State, both games on New Years Eve - the final Championship game like two weeks or something crazy later....
