They are just the folks!

Andy , and Aunt Bea, Opie and that drunk guy ... that is who the TEA PART set is! Just the down home , salt of the earth type folks , who just love Governor Palin, want less government and to pay less taxes, that's it. Norman Rockwell with some curbs on entitlements. Now, really, what could be the harm in that?

As the old guard GOP falls all over itself to ingratiate itself with this mob rule, lets dig a little bit deeper into what these folksy folks really want.

• Should President Obama be impeached?

The will of the American voter should just be tossed out the window, because I don't like the guy, or I did not vote for him 39% of those Republicans asked do not believe in an open and legal election, cause it did not go their way..... NOT 2000, which is still debatable, but an overwhelming victory... just think about that folks..

• Was President Obama born in America ?

REALLY ?!? Only 42% of right wingers asked believe the truth. Full out victory for nut job talk radio, and people not believing their lying eyes.

• Should your state SECEDE from the Union ?

Almost a quarter of the people asked this question said yes, TEXAS FOREVER! 2010 - Secession, The inmates are trying to run the asylum!

And now we come to the part that really affects Neil and I. Me, my life.. put out there for you to vote on.

• Should Gays be allowed in the military ?
• Should Gays be allowed to marry ?
• Should Gays be allowed to teach ?

Blah, blah, blah, the exact same old right wing/Christianist bullshit. But come on, 2010 and a ONLY EIGHT % of the people in this poll asked think that gay men and women should be allowed to be teachers? Again, REALLY ??

Yeah, that one hits a little bit too close to home, since I witnessed parents lining up and all but fighting to get their kids INTO Neil's classrooms. I would love to have a conversation with some of these folks on this one.

It's long and full of the usual dumbassery, here is the crux:

Sprigg: I think that the Supreme Court decision in Lawrence v. Texas which overturned, uh, the sodomy laws in this country was wrongly decided. I think there would be a place for criminal sanctions against homosexual behavior.
Matthews: So we should outlaw gay behavior.
Sprigg: Uh, yes! [laughs]

So, there we have it in a nutshell, 2010, just the folks, think I should be put in jail. Just those harmless real Americans, who only want a limited government and less taxes, and the end to all my rights as a citizen.

I don't think Aunt Bea ever went that far........
