and we got a new flagpole!
Not like we had an old one - Neil just felt like getting a giant flag pole for the front yard, and what better day to put it up than this one. I guess - this day is pretty conflicting for me. Yes, remember the lives that were lost that day, but also remember and learn from the horrible political decisions that stemmed from that horrible morning.
I just dont think that this day should turn into I AM MORE PATRIOTIC THAN YOU ! or turn into some sort of Disney-fied revision of that the attacks mean. Yes, we all came together there for a short time - but are now more farther apart than ever.
This day should mean more than that - so very much more than this
