Wow, do you think that the kyle+blog is on the morning reading list at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave? I mean I did JUST write that the President should take to the airwaves and call out the "nattering nabobs of negativity" - LOOK what folks woke up to in their Washington Post this Morning: THE ACTION AMERICANS NEED by Barack Obama.
Taking it to the streets, did I Nixon like, call Rham in my sleep last night?
Click on the link to read the entire op-ed, here is the last paragraph:
So we have a choice to make. We can once again let Washington's bad habits stand in the way of progress. Or we can pull together and say that in America, our destiny isn't written for us but by us. We can place good ideas ahead of old ideological battles, and a sense of purpose above the same narrow partisanship. We can act boldly to turn crisis into opportunity and, together, write the next great chapter in our history and meet the test of our time.
The writer is president of the United States. The GOP, McConnell, Boehner, Limbaugh and faux news, et al are fiddling while Rome burns, and it is a dangerous game. Let's say they do " win" and stop this bill, or any bill. Think about what that victory will bring. " We stopped him" How happy that will make all the ditto heads in that soup line.
President Obama's strength lies in the almost seventy million people that voted for him, and all the people that wish him success. We the people and all that sort of thing. Stand in the way of this at your own peril GOP, your WIN is the country's LOSS. Your ways got us into this situation, and now you are trying to dig the hole deeper. The more the President talks about this bill, the more petty and childish the opposition looks.
As for ANYONE kvetching about the amount of money in this stimulus bill:
