From tonight's AJC : "Braves right fielder Jeff Francoeur has been traded to the New York Mets for outfielder Ryan Church, the team announced Friday afternoon.The erstwhile Braves “Golden Boy,” once considered the heir apparent to Chipper Jones, has struggled for two seasons and was recently benched for three games in favor of Matt Diaz.Francoeur, a Lilburn native and former two-sport star at Parkview High, was hitting only .250 with five homers and 35 RBIs this season, and his .282 on-base percentage was one of the worst in the National League among starters."
