Communal Living, first dinner

SEAFOOD EXTRAVAGANZA

David and Joyce Dean take us to the South of France with a wonderful, michelin quality dinner. Really, I should have worn shoes.

Our starter tonight was a crab stuffed portabello , very rich, very yummy. There were also these roasted mussels with almonds and olive oil, that I did not get a picture of , due to eating them so fast...

David and Ryan enjoy the mushrooms
Kyle cuts the mushrooms
Pookie watches me cut the mushrooms
Master Chef at work... really, he came downstairs early in his chef togs, dressed for battle

Lisa and Dahn
Watermelon and blue cheese salad... very cold, it was delicious

Dinner was...... complex.. VERY good, but complex. Fish and Shrimp and rice and beans and potatoes all in a broth , again I was eating too much to get a good picture

Yesterday was seriously a hard core moopah day, rare for up here, but it rained pretty much the whole day. Sleep, read, eat, repeat. Today the more energetic ones were going to go rafting down some ice cold river.. but decided to make cheese instead.

Tonight is my night to cook... from the South of France to the South of Barrow County....
