I have a dream.....( Martin, with a little Mama Rose on the side...)

We are getting on a bus at 11:00 pm tonight, riding through the night arriving in hopefully sunny DC Sunday Morning, primed , tanned and rested to march on the Capitol! We the people , baby!

It feels like I was there the moment this march was born... so connected we all are these days myfaceyblogpagenet.com. In a post Prop 8 world, and a post New York State GLBT folks being chucked under the bus..... " Hey Kids, lets put on a show! " From the Equality Across America website:

Our One Single Demand:
Equal protection in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states. We will accept no less and will work until it is achieved. Equality Across America exists to support grassroots organizing in all 435 Congressional Districts to achieve full equality.

We are guaranteed equal protection under the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. Free and equal people do not bargain for or prioritize our rights. Full equality necessarily includes all members of the LGBT community and encompasses, but is not limited to:

The right to work our jobs and go to school free of harassment and discrimination.
The right to safety in our daily lives, and protection from hate crimes.
The right to equitable healthcare, and the right to donate blood.
The right to equitable immigration policies.
The right to marry.
The right to serve in the military openly.
Many bills currently exist to address some of these issues, but we do not support a piecemeal strategy. We seek one federal solution to full equality.

I am not sure what to expect.. I am not sure anyone does. This is pure grass roots. A little nervous... Kyle and crowds, and the rightwing wackos that tell me where and how exactly I am going to hell are never a whole lot of fun. In with anger out with love .

THE BIG NEWS IS: C-Span is going to carry the event live, AND Neil will be on stage at the very beginning representing ECUSA and Integrity at the opening prayer, so Sunday afternoon gather the kiddies and the dogs in front of the flat screen and watch us do what ever it is we are gong to do.

So, I won't be blogging for a couple of days, but will give yall a full re-cap on Monday.

In related news, The President of the United States of America, that Nobel Laureate, Barack H. Obama will be giving a major Gay Rights Speech at an HRC dinner there in D.C. tonight. After a campaign season of love, it has been a little " not tonight honey, I have a headache from the White House"
